You are invited to the round table discussion “French Indochina” by Paul Doumer on the occasion of publishing this book in Vietnamese.
Speakers:
– Mr. Duong Van Quang, Professor, former President of the Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam.
– Mr. Nguyen Xuan Khanh, writer and translator.
“French Indochina” is a unique book because the author was not only the Governor General of French Indochina but also President of the French Republic (from 1931 until his assassination on May 7, 1932). He was both a scholar, a technocrat and an ambitious politician.
Paul Doumer has held several senior positions as: Minister of Finance, President of the Chamber of Deputies, Senate President and finally President of the French Republic.
