From the organizer:

Come and enjoy an evening of live music from British songwriter Claire Cameron. Celebrate the release of her new single which she spent two years writing here in Saigon and recorded in the UK with Claire Cameron Band.

‘Moving to Saigon (now Ho Chi Minh City), Vietnam in 2013 was one of the most exciting and challenging things I have ever done. This song is for the city that initially overwhelmed me and now has become the place I love to live.’

Claire started composing ‘Song for Saigon’ just a couple of months after arriving in the city, as soon as her Roland FP2 electric piano arrived by sea. The idea for the song began with a punchy piano line, mimicking the rhythms she heard from the confines of a fourth floor apartment in District 1.

Listen to an excerpt from the song:

Claire Cameron is an outstanding artist. She has worked tirelessly to perfect her skills as a Singer, Songwriter, Pianist and recording artist. The results have been celebrated by headline performances at some of the UK’s top venues and multiple plays on BBC Radio. I highly recommend Claire Cameron as a music professional. – Alan Raw, Music Professional, BBC Introducing DJ/Producer, Session Drummer & Tutor with WDA, Director of Creator College.
