From the organizer:

You are invited to the book launch of “Giấc mơ Mỹ – Đường đến Stanford” (“American Dream – The Road to Stanford”) by Huyen Chip in Hanoi.

About the book:

“Giấc mơ Mỹ – Đường đến Stanford” is not a handbook for students that provides suggestions about where to go, what to eat, or how to get a scholarship. Its author, Huyen Chip, has never chosen the usual path; instead, she is not afraid of challenges and always wants to live differently. Coming home after 3 years travelling across 3 continents, she received a full scholarship at one of the world’s leading schools. She left behind her long wandering days to become a normal student in a special school, Stanford.

The book will not tell memoirs with description or climax or action scenes. It is like a nice and trusted friend who calmly tells you the journey of a student during the four seasons of America, because the most valuable experience is the feelings of the heart.

About the author:

Huyền Chip’s real name is Nguyen Thi Khanh Huyen, born in Nam Dinh, a province 2 hour drive southwards of capital Hanoi.

After much awe and discussion around two books “Xách ba-lô lên và đi”, Huyen Chip went to the US and began her journey at Stanford. She is studying for her master degree in computer science, specializing in artificial intelligence. When she doesn’t write or does research, Huyen Chip enjoys hiking, reading, driving to places she has never visited. Every day, she tries to learn something new and to write about her experiences in www.learn365project.com. Her first English book, “How to not get your ass kicked in Vietnam: The native’s guide”, is plan to be published in 2017.

Language: Vietnamese.
