Christmas Concert with Vietnam National Symphony Orchestra (VNSO)
Thu 21 Dec 2017, 8 pm
Cua Bac Church
56 Phan Dinh Phung, Hanoi
From Goethe Institut:
To mark the occasion of the twentieth anniversary of the Goethe Institut’s presence in Vietnam, the Goethe Institut Hanoi will hold a special Christmas concert on December 21 at 8 pm.
To make this event a unique experience, we will trade our usual venue, the Goethe Institut, for the charming atmosphere of the Cua Bac Church. The concert is also a special event for the church and the audience: It is the first Christmas concert ever the history of the Cua Bac Church.
The program features Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s Coronation Mass and Johann Sebastian Bach’s Orchestra Suite in D major, which also includes he famous piece “Air on the G string”.
The Vietnam National Symphony Orchestra is joined by two choruses – the Hanoi Catholic Youth Choir and the Opera Choir – as well as four soloists, two of them are from Germany.
Let the Christmas Concert enchant you and slow down our hectic pace as we approach the end of 2017.
We kindly ask you to make a charitable donation for the caritas of the parish to help the poor as you enter the church.
Free admission
