Director: Marion Milne
Cast: Nancy Tate, Tantoo Cardinal, Vernon Dobtcheff, …

This is 2075. Nothing has been done to fight against global warming. The planet is ravaged by disasters: cricket invasion, drought, heat… From four corners of the planet, four stories meet and answer one another…

Sun 04 Nov 2018, 3.30 pm: “Le mystère du dauphin rose” (France, Brazil, 2015, 54′)

Director: Ellena Eric và Bazeille Nicolas

In the heart of the mighty Amazon forest, hides a strange animal that we do not expect to see thousands of kilometres from the ocean.
The Amazon Pink River Dolphin, which looks like a living fossil, is one of the most mysterious species of the animal kingdom. Where does it come from? How has this animal come to acclimate to this flooded, tropical rainforest environment? What links do they have to marine dolphins? Are they simple descendants of the marine species, or a distinct species that has survived through the ages and adapted to this lush environment?

Unknown for a long time, the pink dolphin remains a mystery to the scientists struggling to reconstruct its evolutionary course. Now thanks to a recent discovery, scientists are finally able to understand more about the mystery of the pink dolphin and its origins.

Join them on this remarkable scientific adventure…

Sun 04 Nov 2018, 6 pm: “Il était une forêt” (France, 2013, 78’)

Director: Luc Jacquet
Cast: Francis Hallé

For the first time, a tropical forest springs to life before our very eyes. From the first shoot to the blossoming of giant trees, from the canopy to the development of hidden links between plants and animals, no less than seven centuries will unfold before us.
Luc Jacquet has been filming nature for many years, moving and thrilling audiences with unique and exciting tales. His encounter with the botanist Francis Hallé gave birth to this heritage film, combining the transmission of knowledge, poetry and visual magic, about the last great primal forests in the tropics. “Il était une forêt” (Once Upon a Forest) offers an exceptional immersion in this wild world that has remained in its original state, in perfect balance, where each organism – from the smallest to the largest and all connected to each other – plays an essential part.
