From the organizer:
We invite you to ‘47 days, Sound-less’ – a video & sound installation by artist Nguyen Trinh Thi at manzi with a special edition for Hanoi.
‘47 Days, Sound-less’ depicts the narrative about a man who was stranded in a forest with no recollection or clues about his past and is taken in by a village of indigenous people. Adopting such an open fictional structure, Trinh Thi’s installation weaves together sound, moving images and texts from various sources, creating a space with more intuitive cues conducive to multi-sensory experiences beyond just seeing and watching.
The work is commissioned by the Han Nefkens Foundation in collaboration with the Mori Art Museum, M+, Hong Kong, and Singapore Art Museum
Note for visitors:
– Due to the fragility of the installation and the complexity of the set-up, we can only accommodate a maximum of 10 persons for each slot.
– Photography & audio/video recording are not allowed in the event.
