From Week of Italian Cuisine in Vietnam:
As the opening event for Italian Cuisine Week 2024, this year’s Taste of Italy exhibition, taking place on November 15th at Mega Market Thang Long (263 Pham Van Dong), organized by the Italian Trade Agency, will introduce Vietnamese consumers to hundreds of unique, authentic products from the boot-shaped country.
Under the Week’s theme, “Mediterranean Diet and Cuisine of the Roots: Health and Tradition”, the displayed products and dishes will highlight the most significant ingredients of the Mediterranean Diet: olive oil, wine, balsamic vinegar, vegetable-based sauces and jams, mushrooms, fruits, and more, to emphasise the healthiness and balance of a sustainable ‘green’ diet for both humans and the planet.
The event will welcome the Italian Ambassador to Vietnam, alongside retailers, wholesalers, and chefs from MM Megamarket. We hope that the Taste of Italy exhibition and other events throughout the week will inspire meaningful conversations about the culinary and social traditions of Italy and Vietnam, whose culture share many common values.

Launched in 2016, Week of Italian Cuisine is an annual event held worldwide to honor Italian culinary heritage and culture, thereby spreading the values that are the identity of the country and people of Italy. Week of Italian Cuisine in Vietnam 2024 brings the theme “Mediterranean Diet and Cuisine of the Roots: Health and Tradition”, emphasizing a healthy and sustainable eating model.
