From the organizer:
This film screening is part of The Multifaceted Forest 2026, a three-day community learning program. While registration for the full program is now closed due to limited capacity, the screening is free and open to the public.
The event features two films, “So Close Yet So Far, The Ancestral Forest” by filmmaker Đoàn Hồng Lê and “How to Improve the World” by artist Nguyễn Trinh Thi, both of which reflect on memory, landscape, and the losses tied to forests, land, and Indigenous communities.
The screenings will be followed by a conversation with both filmmakers, moderated by filmmaker Mai Huyền Chi.
We warmly invite you to register via the link above and join us for an afternoon of films and conversation.
