Festival Futures Forward (FFF) – VFCD’s track 02 – is a series of regional and global dialogues bringing together festival leaders and creative practitioners from Southeast Asia and Europe to explore these questions and to challenge how we think about festivals today.
Across 21-22 September, FFF creates a space to pause, reflect and imagine, moving from provocative ideas and lived experiences to collective conversations about the future of festivals.
Rather than looking for a single answer, FFF creates a space to ask better questions and seek different perspectives.
Because the future of festivals is not simply something to predict.
It is something we can imagine and shape together.
Follow the conversation as Festival Futures Forward unfolds at Vietnam Festival of Creativity & Design 2026.
The forum is organised by RMIT Vietnam in collaboration with its Festival and Knowledge Partners: the Faculty of Creative Multimedia at Multimedia University, Ars Electronica, Media Art Friesland, and Kuala Lumpur Festival.
