Award-winning producer/DJ Chamber’s banging breaks set smashed up the dance floor on our bday Bass Streets ‘Aftershock’. Now, HRC is delighted to be making further in roads with the crushing talent spawned by one of the world’s leading underground music cities, Bristol, with headlining act FREEAR.
Mike Freear has a musician’s dream job: producer, synthesist and guitarist for 10-piece pyro circus rave massive, Slamboree. The band fuses bass-driven beats with live orchestra, guitars, percussion, loops, visuals, brass, accordian, pyrotechnics and circus, whipping out original and live sounds of breakbeat, dubstep, drum & bass, dub, techno and electro fused with folk flavours… all original and all live. Behind the decks, Mike FREEAR spins crunching, bass driven beats bouncing around glitch, electroswing, breaks, dubstep, drum & bass, dub, techno and electro, throwing in those those trademark balkan, folk and ‘gypsy’ spices.
Freear’s recent, impressive tour circuit includes a whole host of the world’s major music events including Glastonbury, Burning Man Festival, Boomtown Fair and Shambala. That gives you an idea of the quality and calibre of performer you can expect. This is electronic entertainment at its very best to light up the dirty, winter skies of BASS STREETS. DJ JOUNCE
Our other special guest joining FREEAR plus Hanoi’s home champs BLIP BLOP, DIRTY FINGRZ and LETHAL on the night is DJ JOUNCE of LA independent record label, Room Trip. Straight out of the heart of Los Angeles, California – DJ Jounce is making some serious noise in the Electronic Dance Music scene. As a songwriter, musician and producer, Jounce is consistently creating original and respectable music for his growing legion of fans worldwide.
Jounce recorded and released his debut CD “Temporal Ascent” in 2011 to critical acclaim. In 2011, Jounce DJ’d at the Official Paley Center Grammy Party in Beverly Hills. In 2012, he was the headlining DJ for a 54th Grammy Awards After-Party at Ecco in Hollywood, and has also recently been featured by Calvin Klein in its worldwide marketing campaign for the launch of CK’s new Brand X clothing. Back on the worldwide tour circuit, Jounce is ready to let rip with his core-cutting electro and prog house sound for the Hanoi beat heads.
