“Hope” – an exhibition by Pham Huy Thong, one of Vietnam’s most thoughtful and compelling young visual artists – opens from 11 Dec 2015 to 08 Jan 2016 at Craig Thomas Gallery, HCMC.
The “Hope” series was started in early 2014 with an aim towards focusing on issues relating to Vietnam’s rural farmers and urban poor. Through the exhibition, Thong wishes to highlight how Vietnam’s recent process of urbanization and modernization has created and is exacerbating the gap between rich and poor in the country.
