Talking to Nature: Calls for Submissions

This competition is part of an ongoing project for children’s literature between Viet Nam and Denmark signed by the Danish Embassy in Viet Nam, the Kim Dong Publishing House and the Ha Noi Writers’ Association from 2006 to 2010. It aims to create opportunities for painters and writers of both countries to exchange and compare literary ideas.
The 2009 edition has been launched under the theme of “Talking to Nature” across two genres, short story and comics. Le Thi Dat, director of the project, expects the stories will help children get closer to nature. She also hopes that through the stories, children will learn to understand, respect and love nature.
Competition Guidelines
• The competition is opened to everyone, regardless of their ages, professions and nationalities.
• Your work should aim at children aged 4 to 10, and should either be a short story or comic.
• It must not have been released or published on any kind of media.
• It must be your own creation, and completely typed and/or drawn on one-sided papers.
