Sat 05 Feb will be the night that Hanoi Rock City turns Hanoi Hop City!

Rapper Chen Lo and DJ Scandales are in the house to drop the beats and rhymes that will sound sweeter than the metaphorical ‘ker-ching’ of Lucky Money this Tet.

A special two hour workshop with Chen Lo and DJ Scandales will also be held on the same day.

Rapper Chen Lo and DJ Scandales prove an example of Brooklyn’s finest and this is one not to be missed!!

Chen Lo, inspired by Nas, Marvin Gaye and The Roots, has lived life as an MC since he was 15, sharing the stage with the likes of Dead Prez, The Roots, KRS-One and Xzibit. His single, ‘Brooklyn’ was the lead single for Paramount/BET feature film, “Blackout”, and his TV appearances include MTV commercials and frequent contributions to BETJ. Chen Lo regularly takes his mic out onto the road with his band to deliver music and culture master classes across a whole host of countries in Africa, the Middle East and Asia. It is this that marks him out as a true global champion of the genre and a genuine advocate for world development and cultural exchange through music.

He will be performing with DJ Scandales, turntabalist and producer who took up DJ’ing at the age of 12. Through his devoted practice in the art of scratching, cutting, and beat juggling, Scandales has developed a passion for various genres and styles of music. His formless and free sound has roots in hip hop, R&B, soul, Caribbean, and Latin music.
