Goethe Institut invites you to apply for Workshop for Photographers with OSTKREUZ, Berlin.

OSTKREUZ is the German match to the agency MAGNUM: the major Photographer-Agency in Germany. Founded at the end of the GDRin East Berlin, OSTKREUZ is now internationally established and stands for highest quality in term of Photojournalism and art Photography.

In cooperation with the exhibition “The City. From the becoming until the decay” two OSTKREUZ-Photographers are coming to Hanoi: Jörg Brüggemann and Ute Mahler represent two generations of photographers in Germany. They will conduct a workshop at the Goethe-Institute Hanoi:

Theme: “The Portrait-staging and observation: Human being in its environment”
Date: 2nd – 6th September, daily 9 – 18:00
Venue:Goethe-Institut

The Workshop will be held in English. After the theoretical reflexion about the theme “portrait”, the workshop participants will make their own portrait-series under the guidance of the workshop conductors Jörg Brüggemann and Ute Mahler, who will curate the final presentation. The participants should have consolidated knowledge and bring some of their previous work to the first workshop day.

Interested participants should send 5 jpeg images representing samples of their best work. People should also include a brief statement of interest about why they would like to join the workshop, along with a short bio or copy of CV. The selected participants will be invited to attend the workshop free of cost.
