Cathedral Concert Series is Maestoso’s project of free concerts to the public, bringing a new and unique experience to Vietnamese musicians and audiences. The characteristic architecture of the cathedral will deliver a high-quality acoustic and an intimate atmosphere to the listeners. With the desire to bring classical music to Vietnamese public in a most widely way, all the concerts in the cathedral will be non-ticket concerts, free of charge, opened to all audiences who are interested in classical music. Both performers and audiences will be able to experience the closest atmosphere of the traditional European classical music making. The long term goal of this series is to create a habit of listening to classical music, in its most original way, and gradually become a cultural grace of the capital.

Artistic director of Cathedral Concert Series project is pianist Luu Duc Anh, an experienced musician with many international prizes and frequent appearances on concert halls of many countries in the world. He will be in charge of choosing performers as well as programming every concert of the series. He is currently one of the most active musician in Vietnam with numerous domestic and international concerts.

Chương trình đầu tiên trong chuỗi hòa nhạc Cathedral Concert Series sẽ diễn ra vào ngày 29/6/2018 với sự tham gia của những nghệ sĩ trẻ tài năng của Việt Nam như:

The first concert in the Cathedral Concert Series will take place on 29 Jun 2018 with the participation of young talented Vietnamese artists:
– Hoang Ho Thu (piano) and Hoang Ho Khanh Van (violin) are both pursuing their degree at the prestigious Ferenc Liszt in Hungary. The sister duo has collaborated in many chamber concerts. In March 2018, they were awarded the First prize – Dohnányi – at the National Dohnányi Ernő Chamber Music Competition in Debreccen, Hungary.
– Cellist Phan Do Phuc, a young artist with many experiences in solo performances and with orchestras in countries all over the world. He is currently a lecturer while completing his doctorate degree in Performance at Stony Brook University, USA.
– Pianist Luu Duc Anh is the co-founder of Maestoso and one of the prominent young artist in Vietnam today, having won numerous international awards and performed in many countries in the world. his contribution to Vietnam’s classical music scene, he was chosen as 1 of Hanoi’s Top 10 Outstanding Young Faces and of the Vietnam’s Top 10 Outstanding Young Faces in 2017.
