You are invited to the conference “The World in the Mirror” of Haruki Murakami. It is a chance for the readers to ~~meet and talk with the author~~ discuss his new book 1Q84 as well as other books which were being translated to Vietnamese. The meeting will give some more insights on the value of the Japanese literature in Vietnam nowadays.

– Translator: Tran Tien Cao Dang and Luong Viet Dung

Vietnamese readers are quite familiar with Haruki Murakami. Most of his works have been translated and are welcomed by many readers.

His latest book – 1Q84 was launched in Japan in 2009 and became the best seller. Murakami revealed that he wrote the book in two years from the end of 2006 while on vacation in Hawaii. The book looks closer to the feeling of women, therefore, sex plays a bigger role than in any of his other books.
