About films
The Spectacular Now (2013)
Language: English with Vietnamese subtitles
THE SPECTACULAR NOW is a funny, compassionate and poignant look at young adulthood, written by (500) DAYS OF SUMMER scribes Scott Neustadter and Michael H. Weber, directedby James Ponsoldt (SMASHED) and produced by Tom McNulty, Shawn Levy, AndrewLauren and Michelle Krumm.
This adaptation of Tim Tharp’s novel The Spectacular Now captures the insecurity and confusion of adolescence without looking for tidy truths. Young actors rarely portray teens with the maturity that Teller and Woodleydisplay, and they are phenomenal together.

You’re the Apple of my Eye (2011)
Language: Standard Chinese with Vietnamese subtitles
YOU ARE THE APPLE OF MY EYE (Chinese: 那些年,我們一起追的女孩, literally “In Those Years, The Girl We All Went After”) is a 2011 Taiwanese Romance film. It is based on the semi-autobiographical novel of the same name by Taiwanese author Giddens Ko, who also made his directorial debut with the film.
The lyrics of “Those Years”, the film’s main theme, written by Giddens, was well received by the public and was nominated for Best Original Film Song at the 48th Golden Horse Awards. Well received by film critics, the movie set box-office records in Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Singapore. Ko Chen-tung won the Best Newcomer award at the Golden Horse Awards for his role in the film.
The film stars Ko Chen-tung as Ko Ching-teng, a prankster and a mischievous student who eventually becomes a writer. Michelle Chen stars as Shen Chia-yi, an honor student who is very popular amongst the boys in her class.
Ko-Teng has several close friends who had a crush on Shen Chia-Yi. Those friends of Ko’s thus moved in unison from Ching Chengs junior high school straight into the senior high school division in pursuit of her. Naughty in nature, Ko was ordered by their homeroom teacher to sit in front of honor student Shen for her to keep close tabs on him. The two hadn’t hit it off at first but Ko gradually fell for Shen, who was always pressuring him to study hard. On the other hand, Shen became impressed by the contrasting values Ko represented. Ko started pursuing Shen but Shen remained hesitant.
Adolescence is like a heavy rain. Even though you catch a cold from it, you still look forward to experiencing it once again.
