L’Espace cordially invites you to a discussion on Henri Maitre’s ethnographic research ‘Les Jungles – Overview of Highland Ethnic Groups’.

With writers and researchers Nguyen Ngoc, Ngo Duc Thinh, Thu Nhung Mlo and Andrew Hardy.

During the first decade of the twentieth century, a young French full of curiosity for the highlands of central Vietnam agreed to carry out an exploratory mission proposed by the colonial authorities. During his travels (1905 – 1911), he was able to gather and collect an enormous amount of information on the forests and ethnic groups of the region. This ethnographic research was then published under the title ‘Les Jungles Moï’ and has been translated into Vietnamese.
