The Ballet “Rite of Spring” choreographed by artist Pham Minh, performed by Viet An, Van Nam and other the dancers from Vietnam National Opera and Ballet. Stravinsky’s music in “Rite of Spring” is presented by his exciting adventure and unique creativity. The use of dissonant sounds will bring new colors and new energy for this piece of music.

Choreographer Pham Minh has modified the work to be more suitable for the Vietnamese dancers’ body shape and more attuned to Vietnamese traditional music and customs. Therefore, the physical movements as well as the story behind this piece is characterized in a more Vietnamese style, which helps the viewers to have a closer connection to many ethnic groups and traditions of the ancient Vietnam.

A mysterious tale combined with Igor Stravinsky’s beautiful music compositions form a fascinating ballet dance, “Rite of Spring” will be performed on the stage of the Opera House Theatre by dancers of Vietnam National Opera and Ballet. It is a gift that we want to give to audiences who appreciate the art of ballet.
