British Council Film Collection Competition “View From Here”: calls for applications

In the 1940’s, the British Council made a unique Collection of short documentary films to tell a story about Britain then. This summer, we want you to use those films to tell us another story about Britain now.

VIEW FROM HERE is an international filmmaking competition which invites you to plunder the British Council Film Collection to make your own short film.

All View From Here winners will see their entries showcased here on British Council Film’s website, as well as screened internationally through our network of offices in 110 countries worldwide.

Please note where a prize is to attend an event, workshop or other location-specific activity, it will be the winner’s responsibility to arrange and pay for travel to and from that location. The prize will be for entry to the activity only.
