From Goethe Institut:

“Splitting your legs, waiting for Spring” is an anthology that features Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) people in Vietnam. The 50 mini-stories included, of which each is below 500 words long, tell about how LGBT people feel in love, the pains of being discriminated against, and most noticeably the desires to be loved and treated with dignity. The anthology reveals untold stories about the uncovered corners to the LGBT community.

“This is a collection of unusual and special works, which would leave remarkable impressions on any readers. We are impressed with the great appreciation for diversity found in the stories. Everyone has the right to love who they want to love. We should stick together in this changing world. Under any circumstances should we give our partner the best gift of love.”

(Writer Le Minh Khue, Head of the Jury of the contest “The six color rainbow”)

The stories of “Splitting your legs, waiting for Spring” were thoroughly selected from the total 354 entries to the contest “The six color rainbow” organized in 2013. The Jury consisted of Writer Le Minh Khue, Writer/Blogger Trang Ha, Poet/Playwright Hoang Nhuan Cam, Literary Critic PhD Chu Van Son, PhD Ngo Van Gia and Communications manager of ICS Huynh Minh Thao.
