“Sandy Lives” (1999) is the second film that will be screened during the series Cinema Weekend at The Centre for Assistance and Development of Movie Talents (TPD) this week. The screening will be followed by a discussion with People’s Artist Nguyen Thanh Van, director of the film.
The film tells a story about a sea-side village in Central Vietnam in a post-war period and addresses the long-lasting effects of war on the people that live there.
“Sandy Lives” was adapted from the novel “Three people at the train station” by Vietnamese writer Huu Phuong.
