On the occasion of the Vietnamese National Day, the Korean Cultural Center will organize an exhibition titled “Water Colour Paintings of Artist Ngo Quang Nam” with the selection of 35 art works from hundreds of his works over many periods of time.
Artist Ngo Quang Nam’s biography:
Artist Ngo Quang Nam was born on 1942 in Vinh Phu. He has graduated from Academy of Fine Art in Praha. He majored in oil paintings and currently owns hundreds of oil paintings and lacquer. However, this time, in his exhibition, he will display water colour paintings which might be something soft, yet very expressive and poetic making his works more unique. Other than that, in order to master water colour painting, the artist must have numerous experience and technique to control the shapes and colour.
He also has important managing position such as General Director of Information and Culture Department cum President of Arts and Literature Association in Vinh Phu province, Vice-director of Ministry of Information and Culture, Head of Fine Art and Photography Department… Even though quite busy with his works, he still have time for paintings and has produced many unique pieces.
The majority of his work is about the dynamic daily life, the country and people in various material including “dó” paper, “xuyến chỉ” paper, cartboard and silk.
