“The Lives behind the Book” is an 53-minute documentary directed by Phan Huyen Thu. She shows some slices of life from 5 Vietnamese authors: Nguyễn Ngọc Ký, Nguyễn Sơn Lâm, Nguyễn Thị Hồng, Trần Thị Trà My and Nguyễn Minh Trí. Each of them meets different difficulties but all bound by the love for writing and the Vietnamese language.
