Within an artist talk on January 23rd you will have the chance to learn more about Maika Elan, her lomographic work and new trends in photography. Together with arts and culture journalist Fabiola Büchele, Maika Elan will talk about her art and the exhibited Lomographys. Moreover, a selection of results from participants of Maika Elans Lomography workshop will be presented during the talk.
Lomography is a style of analogue photography, playing with the unpredictable image qualities of cheap cameras, like colour changes and negative effects. Maika Elan has been taking photographs with different Lomo-cameras since 2009. Her journey with Lomography can be seen in the Goethe-Institut from 14 to 28 January.
