Call for Entries: Typography
Competitions about typography calls for entries

With the support of Goethe-Institut, TDC (Type Directors Club) continues calling for entries for two competitions about typography: one about Communication Design and one for Typeface Design.
Request for Submissions:
All Entries of communication design and typeface design must have been produced or published during 2012 (01.01.2012-31.12.2012).
Entries must be submitted together with the entry form included:
- Category name and number
- Single or Series entry (indicate number of items, not boards, for series entries)
- Title or identification of entry
- Professional, Student Work
- Complete information about the submitter (to be repeated on the Payment Form)
Deadline:
All Entries submitted with entry form and fee for entry must be sent before Friday, 14th of December 2012 and sent to the office of TDC before Tuesday, 15th of January 2013 at Type Directors Club 347 West 36th Street Suite 604 New York, NY 10018 USA.

About Type Directors Club (TDC)
The Type Directors Club is the leading international organization whose purpose is to support excellence in typography, both in print and on screen. Founded in 1946, the TDC’s earliest membership included leading designers such as Aaron Burns, Will Burtin, Freeman Craw, Louis Dorfsman, Gene Federico, Edward M. Gottschall, Herb Lubalin, Edward Rondthaler, Bradbury Thompson, and Hermann Zapf. Every year, the TDC simultaneously holds two type competitions: one for the use of type and letterforms in design, and the other for the design of typefaces. The winners are reproduced in the TDC’s Typography Annual, published by HarperCollins Publishers, as well as displayed in seven exhibits that travel worldwide. The TDC56 exhibition, which displayed winning works from all over the world, was successfully organized in Hanoi Vietnam in 2011 by Richard Moore Associates and Goethe Institut.
