Fundraising Event “Caring for the Barefoot”

Friends Holding Hands Vietnam (FHH Vietnam), have decided to join our hands to bring joy – even if it may be a humble one – to the children by realizing their dream of having a pair of shoes or sandals to protect their cold feet. We sincerely hope to receive support from many people, who joined us in all of our activities in 2011 and who will join us for the first time this year in our “Caring for the barefoot” fundraising event.

100% Fund will go to “Spring Gift” and perhaps one more group (to be decided later, depending on fund raised). Spring Gift is going to Muong Te, Lai Chau and provide necessities including clothes, blankets, footwear, books and notebooks, and other necessities to the children in the end of December.

6:00 – 6:30 pm: Reception & Book sale
6:30 – 7:00: Introduction by FHH on the event & Speech by main sponsors
7:00 – 8:00 pm: Buffet & Performances of Beatles’ songs by Box Beat Band
8:00 – 8:30 pm: Auction of travelling souvenirs
8:30 – 9:00 on: Announcement on Fund raising result and closing speech

Minimum Suggested Donation for Entrance: VND 100,000/person. 50% off for children 6-12 years old. Free for children less than 6 years old.

About FFH: We are a group of friends and colleagues who live in Vietnam and other countries. While working in different fields such as agriculture development, finance, banking, and media, we are nurturing common interests in community issues. We regularly hold social events in foreign countries as well as in Vietnam. In 2011, we had a fund raising event for the Tsunami victims in Japan, and we want to continue holding these kinds of events as often as possible.
