This Saturday, TPD will hold a discussion about Korean director Bong Joon-Ho and screen his film Memories of Murder (2003)

Program:
* 2 pm: discussion about directore Bong Joon-Ho (in Vietnamese)
* 2. 30 pm: screening of short films and full-length film Memories of Murder

From May, TPD is calling for a small contribution from audience to support the center’s operation.

For students (with valid student cards), please contribute a minimum of VND 10,000; for audience that have been working, please contribute a minimum of VND 20,000. Your contribution will go directly to our young filmmakers’ fund.

About director Bong Joon-Ho

Bong Joon-Ho was born on 14 September 1969. Although his career only consists of 4 full-length films and a few short films, Bong Joon-Ho currently is regarded as one of the most famous and successful directors in Korea and Asia.

His full-length films including Barking Dogs Never Bite (2000), Memories of Murder, (2003), The Host (2006) and Mother (2009) have won many international awards and left huge impact on the audience.

In 2013, together with two other Korean directors Park Chan Wook and Kim Jee-woon, he has been working to make a break into Hollywood with 3 new films. The plan is that his film Snowpiercer will be screened in North America at the end of the year.

The Centre for Assistance and Development of Movie Talents was established with the purposes of designing and implementing programs to assist and develop movie talents and other activities for the development of Vietnamese cinema.
