FVH is hosting a day trip to Dai Bai – one of the highly recommended villages in the book ‘Discovering Craft Villages in Vietnam’. It’s a metal working village. At this time just before Tet, we will see craftsmen busily making religious objects to be used in pagodas, temples, communual houses and shrines for family ancestor worship.

We will visit the homes and workshops of artisans and discover the skills and methods of manufacture. Then off to Dau Pagoda to see one of 3 major Buddist pagodas, this being the oldest.

Please remember to bring a snack and lunch as we will not return until late afternoon.

Cost: 250,000 VND
Limit: 22 participants
Meeting point: Sofitel Plaza Hotel, Yen Phu St., at the side entrance.
