From Japanese Cultural Exchange Center in Vietnam:
You are invited to the “Japanese Language Festival 2011” this Sunday. The festival is organized with 2 parts: the Debate contest in Japanese and the performances. High school and university students and Japanese learners of all levels are encouraged to participate in the contest. The two outstanding participants in the contest will be awarded with a studying tour to Japan for 2 weeks.
The purpose of the 1st debate contest organized in 1977 was to create a favourable environment for Japanese learners in Vietnam to practice Japanese and to strengthen the friendly relationship between Vietnam and Japan.
In 2003, on the celebration of 30th establishment of the relationship between Vietnam – Japan, the “Japanese Debate Contest” changed its name to “Japanese Language Festival”. After 14 years, the festival attracts more and more students and Japanese learners.
