NRW KULTUR International Visitors Programme – Call for Applications
NRW KULTURsekretariat International Visitors Programme: Call for Applications
Deadline: 30 Jun 2016
From the open call:
The International Visitors Programme has invited more than 680 guests from 80 countries (as of September 2015) to participate in research trips, event trips and press trips for curators, journalists, festival directors and other networking representatives. The aim is to promote creative artists and cultural leaders in NRW and to support their international focus through sustainable networks.
For the second half of 2016, foreign institutes are invited to propose artists, curators, employees, journalists and other networks to participate in the International Visitors Programme.
NRW KULTURsekretariat will cover the costs with regard to travel and residence, transfer and programme implementation. The participants commit to writing a detailed feedback on the programme for internal evaluation and PR purposes.
The following programmes are planned for August 2016:
1. Event Trip: c/o pop
24 – 28 August 2016
www.c-o-pop.de
For more than 12 years now, the follow-up project of the popkomm c/o pop gives an insight of the current tendencies of electronic music. Alongside the possibility of attending the concerts of the festival in unexpected venues, the festival organizes an additional programme for expert audiences. We will be looking at the latest developments in the field of digital entertainment and highlight current movements and emerging trends in the music industry in German and abroad. Moreover, the extensive programme of the festival will comprise meetings with the organizers, musicians and representatives of the cultural policy of North Rhine-Westphalia.
Four places for festival organizers and specialized journalists are available for this trip.
2. Event trip: Forum d’Avignon Ruhr
23 – 26 August 2016

Whether it is in the future planning of cities, in the latest digital economic areas, in the construction of citizen-orientated administrations or in healthcare, “creativity” – a word associated with arts – distinguishes itself as being a particularly important resource in every sector of society.
Eight places are available for arts and cultural leaders as well as experts in creative economies.
