You are invited to the roundtable discussion “A long road to the picture book” under the framework of 5th European Literature Days 2015 with the participation of European and Vietnamese authors: Annette Köhnen, Thuy Com, Thanh Phong, Ta Huy Long.
In recent years, together with the strong development of translated books, the picture book has appeared more conspicuously on Vietnamese market. Its narrative style allows readers to develop their artistry, while using imagination and ability to connect images and words. The image still remains overlooked by many readers. The 5th European Literature Days in Hanoi themed on Children’s Literature will be an opportunity for readers, especially Vietnamese parents, to discuss the essential role of the image in children’s literature .
