Back to basics is a night to showcase the best professional club DJ’s with at least a decade of working experience in the music industry. Music at the roof is proud to present the first in a series of back to basics featuring two of the most influential foreign DJ’s in Hanoi on August 31st: DJ Y and DJ Daiya.  And on 01 Sep, we celebrate Vietnam’s National Day in style of DJ Marius.

The best quality DJ’s are always looking forward to technology and trends but is also knowledgeable about the history of music and culture and is never afraid to reference that knowledge by incorporating it to their playlists.

Back to basics will serve as an event platform featuring the very best DJ’s to communicate via the audience through their playlists and song choices their story of past influences and future aspirations.

House music always give positive messages to people and is said to be “the old-time religion in the way that people just get happy and screaming’.

Emerging from a background love of Jazz, Funk and Disco, the “soul of House” came as natural progression, and Marius has sought to propagate his belief through his music. Marius continues to explore the myriad possibilities and pioneer the boundaries this musical sphere presents. Synonymous with epitome of aural perfection, Marius Ionita continues to set the sonic standard in China.
