From Hanoi Rock City:

The rumours are true! Bread & Circus are back! Hanoi’s favourite duo have reunited after more than year and are feeling breaddier and more circussy than ever! The piano rock hotshots are ready to punch the colour into your Friday night alongside sunsplashed Raggamuffins and brand spanking new riffy rock band Lady Gargamel!

If this week seems like a giant jam sandwich of musical sweetness, then this is most certainly the jam! Delicious. Come out and support your own… Hanoi’s grassroots scene with some of the most radiant acts ever to have stepped foot on the nutty vanilla rock city stage.

// Bread&Circus // ABOUT //

Vocals, drums, guitars, electronic keys and stacks of on stage chemistry: we almost fainted when we heard of Luke DeStefano’s Vietnam return to reignite the glory days of Bread & Circus. Reunion of the year! The multi talented percussionist has been the drumming backbone behind some of Hanoi’s most dynamic and poplar bands since 2010 – Zamina, Machete, Toothbrush as well as Bread & Circus, where he pulls Phuong Dang onto paths she wouldn’t dare to tread alone.

// Raggamuffins // ABOUT //

Sax-tastic smooth boys Raggamuffins are the mango juice of the rock band world. All feet shifting, shoulder swaying, slinky funk-tinged, orange ragga pop grooves, this multi national band has been soaking our souls in sexy riddims since last summer and show no sign of throwing in the the pips just yet. It’s spring, it’s time, and we can’t wait to welcome back the band that can sing with ear to ear grins.

// Lady Gargamel // ABOUT //

Lady Gargamel are a newly formed band who have been preparing for six months to reprogram your ears with some fresh, hard, tight, melodic, heavy, riffy, arrogant rock. The band’s line up, they say, features “the Mario brothers, an Aussie communist, a British trifle maker and a miniature sized Vietnamese girl.” Different people with one thing in common: a deep love for the devil’s notes. Come and experience Hanoi’s freshest, most original band of 2013. Polish both your index and little fingers…you’ll need them!

Tickets: 50000 VND @ door (half price for students with ID)
